kult magazine: the memory project
the story of singapore is not simply the tale of one city's rise from third world to first, but it is also enriched by our unique memories
in this forward-looking age of disposable technology and digital imagery, images and moments are more fleeting and less precious. before the advent of internet, digital cameras and smart-phones, we relied on simpler ways of recording memory such as photography, scrapbooks and postcards. sometimes now considered clutter and junk, these items are being thrown away and replaced by less tactile digital versions. this issue seeks to recall some of these disappearing artifacts for the new generation.
